Have you ever been poked on Facebook and questioned exactly what is a Facebook poke? Well, in this post, we will have a look at the significance of a Facebook poke. It may just mean far more than you think.
Whenever I go on Facebook, I see a little part of the screen saying that people have poked me. Facebook claims that a jab can be used "to state hello" to your friends. Thus, I see this poke function on Facebook as a manner in which my real friends are saying, "Hi, I am considering you, and I miss you."
Thus, I believe a poke feels respectable.
After you receive a jab, you then have the choice of poking back. This might be translated as a method of stating, "Thanks for thinking of me. I feel the very same way."
Such was the case with my dear friend Bob.
Bob just recently asked me, "Richard, what does a Facebook poke imply to you?"
I said, "It's a recommendation, a buddy saying hi."
He declared that sometimes it could mean a lot more and continued to tell me a story.
Long ago, Bob had readied pals with a lady called Alexandra. Alexandra and Bob frequently took their relationship passed the link level however it never became a full blown relationship. Thus, after some time, Alexandra met somebody and wound up marrying this guy and invited Bob to the wedding event.
As it happens when people lead many lives, Bob and Alexandra stopped communicating with each other on a routine basis pretty rapidly than not at all. In truth, they went five years without actually speaking with one another at all.
Bob questioned about this sudden Facebook poke. Was this just an acknowledgment or existed something more to the story?
Well, it ends up, after Bob examined Alexandra's Facebook profile, she was single again. Bob decided to poke her back and see where things led.
In the end, Bob and Alexandra began dating, and now they have plans to marry each other.
Thus, while a Facebook poke is typically merely a recommendation, it can in some cases say a whole lot more!
